25 Handstand PushUp Challenge

First attempt at a handstand with a push up. Pretty successful- now I’m challenging myself to be able to complete 20 handstand pushups by the end of July.  Took me about a month to be able to gain enough balance but practice makes perfect!!

Who wants to join the challenge with me?

    Wow, you are braver than me! I used to be able to do handstands when I was younger but to combine it with a push up is insane (in a good way)! Good luck with your challenge…can’t wait to see the video of you busting out 20!

    Funny story..When I was in school the way to fit in was to do the perfect handstand. Mind you..we only had asphalt and no grass. I totally did it. I was up, my legs were straight. So proud then….wait for it…Boom!..on my head. so, I’m at the nurses office. Pain! But what did I say? “Did I do it? Was it perfect? Am I accepted now?” I think that was 5th grade. That was the first and last handstand. Just thought I’d share.

      Wow thats that’s a funny story.yea handstands can e very intimidating just have to have confidence with balancing your body. But I don’t blame you lol

    I would LOVE to be able to do this. The balance part will definitely take me a while to master as well as the core and upper-body strength. I may not be able to get it by the end of July, but I’m getting as close as possible.

    That is so cool. One of my aims is to be able to to a handstand push up without the use of a wall…
    So far I can do about 5 seconds of no wall – but need to build up abit more strength for the pushup!

    Great exercise goal… in addition to actually doing the handstand push-up, it may be helpful to work on a progression of exercises to build the shoulders eg: regular push-ups….feet elevated push ups…military presses… I use handstand pushups (with my feet in the straps) as part of my TRX circuit sometimes, and there’s nothing easy about them… now I’m going to have to try this against the wall !!! Keep it up!!!!
